Although no formal qualifications are essential for this role the successful candidate should have relevant work related experience, attained a good all-round standard of education and have an excellentt knowledge of hardware and technical software products.
Highly Desirable
• MCSE or equivalent qualification would be an advantage.
• Experience of Microsoft Windows (PC) and server software essential.
• Veritas Backup Software.
• Microsoft Office Applications.
• Extensive IBM Server & Workstation Hardware experience.
• TCP/IP Networking and WIde Area Networking.
• COMMS configuration & diagnostics.
• Firewall Experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will be involved in a variety of duties including;
• Working as part of the Technical Team you will be first line support for Ace Support Customers and our own list of business clients.
• Responding to and resolving technical support queries via telephone, remote access with occasional on-site work.
• Problem analysis and investigation work.
• Call management and prioritisation to ensure service levels are exceeded.
• Hardware repair and software installation in-house and occasionally on site.
• Assist in operation of on-line shop Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
• Good understanding of Microsoft office and SQL Server would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of anti-virus software, firewalls
• Customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
